In most New England states March is considered Maple Month. Transformed from sap to syrup, this sweet delight joyfully tops waffles, French toast and pancakes. Harvest Festival Draws Crowd to Buell’s Orchard

Write-Up & Photos by Jacqueline Bennett newsandviewsjb.com   Hospitality, a chicken barbecue, live music, hay rides, as well as pumpkin and apple picking drew a large crowd to the Annual Harvest Festival at Buell’s Orchard in Eastford, Connecticut over Columbus Day Weekend. Cool morning temperatures rose to close to 80 degrees by afternoon on Monday, October 12, leaving folks to tie sweatshirts and sweaters around their waists then roam the farm grounds in short sleeves.   A winding line of eager visitors waited for the donuts and cider samples being handed out.
